Carbon Minded is supporting this pioneering project to drive rapid decarbonisation across businesses and industrial estates in the East of England.

Carbon Minded

Our Aim

Helping businesses across Eastern England to decarbonize.

Our Story

Carbon Minded helps organisations of all shapes and sizes manage their environmental impact in a way that makes good business sense. Currently, they are partnering on the Eastern New Energy project – this initiative, funded by the European Regional Development Fund, is focused on rapidly decarbonising businesses and industrial estates across the East of England.

The scheme offers a wide range of support services to help companies reduce their carbon emissions. These include helping businesses to improve energy efficiency and implement renewable energy generation and storage as well as supporting the innovation and development of low carbon technologies. The project also provides grants to small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs).

Jo Southernwood from Carbon Minded explained the benefits to local organisations:

“There are many benefits to reducing carbon emissions. One of the main ones is around the business opportunities that it generates. One of them could be in terms of spending through reducing energy consumption and energy spend, but it could also be through attracting new clients and new customers by promoting themselves as a sustainable business.”
